TRAVEL the WORLD

A man travels 1 km south
takes a left and travels 1 km east
again he travels 1 km north

now he measures the distance between his initial and final position (displacement) using chain survey

what will be the readings?

    chain survey is nothing its just you are measuring your intial and final positions using a chain

    I think it will be the distance taking into account the curve of the earth (ie if you want to take it into account)

    if u are at north pole .
    then final position is same as initial.
